The Purpose

I recently read there are two types of thinking: fossilized and flexible. The first can be compared to, oh, say, a dinosaur. When the thinking process becomes so entrenched in one format, it soon becomes obsolete, or in other words, extinct. Flexible thinking is fluid. There is no beginning or end, no one way or the highway. It is not linear but rather open and dynamic. In both teaching and technology, fossilized thinking leads to a static state. When curiosity and awe about our professions are gone, there is no longer fluidity. This blog is my attempt to grease the wheels and challenge myself to explore and integrate education and technology as one in the classroom to improve my own teaching and, more importantly, the student learning experience.
